There are days when only something dense and chocolately will satisfy. This recipe couldn’t be quicker or simpler and yet it is so moreish that, rich as it is, I can never stop at one piece! Hokey Pokey is an old Cornish word for honeycomb, included here in the form of broken up Crunchie bars. Overseas readers, if you don’t have Crunchies, any honeycomb will do!
Hokey Pokey Chocolate Crunch
200g milk chocolate
3 tablespoons golden syrup
225g finely crushed digestive biscuits
3 Crunchie bars, bashed into large shards
Melt together the butter, chocolate and syrup then add the crushed biscuits and most of the Crunchie pieces. Mix together quickly then pour into a foil tray. Push the remaining Crunchie shards into the top of the chocolate. Chill until set.
